Passionate about chamber music, Laure Volpato is invited to perform in France and abroad. In a constant desire for openness to all forms of artistic expression, from baroque to jazz, she collaborates on various musical, choreographic, pictorial, literary and theatrical creations (Reine Blanche, Etoile du Nord, Pépinière Opéra, Théâtre des Roches, FGO BARBARA, le Triton …). She works in particular with Yochk’o Seffer, French composer, improviser and instrumentalist of Hungarian origin.
A graduate of Harmonie, Analyse et Culture musicale, Laure Volpato studied singing and choir conducting, and studied musicology at the Sorbonne University. After winning the 1st Prize for cello and chamber music with honors (Concours Ville de Paris), the Award of Excellence at the Leopold Bellan International Competition, and the Honorary Prize at the UFAM International Competition, she perfected her practice with Anatoli Krastev at the Sofia National Academy of Music, Marie-Paule Milone in France.
Holder of the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude, Laure Volpato is currently a professor at the City of Paris. President of the L.V. Arts Au Diapason, she initiates and develops artistic and cultural projects (intergenerational orchestra, FGO BARBARA Goutte d’Or), is involved in collaboration with charities Culture & Hôpital (resident artists, concerts, shows, conferences, TERRITORIA Prize 2012) et Mémorisation & Créativité.
Laure Volpato is a founding member of the Ensemble Arts Au Diapason , Ensemble Human XXI. She performs with the pianists Renata Bittencourt , Saïda Zulfugarova, Violetta Donini. She and accordionist Basha Slavinska form an original duet : the Stravagante Duo. She is also cofounder of the International Festival of High Perigord, the Dreams of Saint-Victor in Montvianeix (Auvergne). Laure Volpato plays a modern cello by Frank Ravatin.
